Purpose
Minthra is a space for miniature painters to share their work. These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed across every place where users can create content on Minthra — including comments, messages, project titles and descriptions, recipe titles and descriptions, usernames, display names, bios, avatars, banners, and any image uploaded to the Service. They complement the Terms & Conditions and apply to every user.
Core principles
Be respectful. Disagreement is fine; insults, harassment and hate are not. Be honest. Don't pretend to be someone else and don't pass off someone else's work as your own. Be safe. Don't share personal data of other people, your own minors, or content that exposes anyone to risk. Be lawful. If a behaviour is illegal under EU or Spanish law, it is also against these Guidelines.
Content that is not allowed
The following are prohibited anywhere on Minthra:
- Insults and personal attacks. Slurs, name-calling, mocking, belittling, or any content meant to humiliate another person.
- Harassment. Repeated unwanted contact, brigading, stalking, threats, or coordinated targeting of a user.
- Hate speech. Content that attacks or dehumanises people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, disability, age, or serious disease.
- Threats and incitement to violence. Including threats against the Operator or other users.
- Sexually explicit content. Pornography, nudity, or sexualised content. Absolutely zero tolerance for any sexual content involving minors — such content will be reported to the competent authorities.
- Graphic violence and self-harm. Content that glorifies violence, gore, or self-harm; promotion of suicide or eating disorders.
- Doxing and privacy violations. Sharing another person's private data (address, phone, ID, workplace, real name, etc.) without their consent.
- Impersonation. Pretending to be another person, brand, or organisation, including artists or content creators in the hobby.
- Spam and manipulation. Repetitive posting, scams, phishing, link spam, vote manipulation, fake engagement, deceptive use of bots.
- Intellectual property infringement. Posting other people's photos, sculpts, paint schemes, or recipes as your own, or content that infringes third-party copyright or trademarks.
- Illegal content. Anything illegal under EU or Spanish law, including unlawful sale of regulated items.
- Malicious software and security abuse. Malware, exploits, phishing, or any attempt to break or overload the Service.
Image content
Project photos and other uploaded images are the most visible part of Minthra and must not contain any of the prohibited categories above. In particular: do not upload images that include other people's faces or identifying features without their consent; do not upload images that include children unless you are their legal guardian and the photo is suitable for a public audience. Photos of miniatures, dioramas, tools, paint inventories and similar work-in-progress shots are exactly what Minthra is for.
How to report content
If you see content or behaviour that breaks these Guidelines, send a report to contact@minthra.app with: (1) a description of what is wrong; (2) where to find it — a link to the project, recipe, profile, or a screenshot of the comment/message; (3) optionally, the rule you believe it breaks. You can report anonymously. If you are reporting content you believe is illegal under EU or Spanish law (e.g., child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, defamation), please mark the report as illegal content so we can prioritise it under our notice-and-action obligations.
What happens after a report
We aim to review every report. Depending on severity and context, the Operator may: take no action (if the content is not in breach), remove the content, hide it from public surfaces, warn the user, temporarily restrict their account, or permanently terminate the account. For content reported as illegal, we act expeditiously upon actual knowledge in line with Articles 16 and 17 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and Articles 16 and 17 of the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation 2022/2065). The reporter and the user whose content was reported will be informed of the outcome where reasonably possible.
Enforcement scale
For most breaches we apply a graduated response: (1) warning explaining the issue; (2) content removal of the specific item; (3) temporary restriction of the account (e.g., suspension of posting for a defined period); (4) permanent termination. Severe breaches — for example, sexual content involving minors, credible threats of violence, doxing, or repeat hate speech — can lead directly to permanent termination without a prior warning.
Right to redress
If your content is removed or your account is restricted, you may write to contact@minthra.app within 30 days to ask for a review. We will look at the decision again with fresh eyes and respond with a final outcome. This is in addition to your rights to complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos for data-related matters and to bring proceedings before the courts.
How we detect content
Today Minthra has no automated content scanning. We rely on user reports and on direct review by the Operator. This may change in the future; if automated tools are introduced (for example, image moderation), this section will be updated and the Privacy Policy will list the processor involved.
Changes
Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version.
